missingWrote a review on Sept 06confusing reception
The reception area felt more like a tech startup than a hospitality place. There’s a noticeable absence of staff interaction, and having to check in via a tablet was frustrating, missing the warmth of personal service. Some rooms lag a bit behind with outdated decor, and cleanliness issues were evident—like stray hairs left behind in the bathroom and a lack of adequately stocked toiletries. Breakfast quality was hit or miss. the cooked selections fell flat, leaving something to be desired. Parking arrangements weren’t clearly explained at check-in, leaving me scratching my head over the fees. It’s a bit isolated, making nearby attractions feel like a trek, which isn't ideal.

We had the best time enjoying the spa and gym facilities during our stay. The breakfast spread was delicious and really hit the spot! The pool and sauna were perfect for unwinding after our adventures. Just a heads up, the parking lot was a bit crowded, so arriving early might save you some time! 😊

Target audience budget-conscious
So, first off, the food at the restaurant was really fantastic, I mean, that crispy duck pancake starter? Pure genius. And let's not forget the swimming pool and spa, that was a welcome escape at the end of the day.
Now, it wasn't exactly a steal, prices were a bit steep, but manageable.

Great surprise in Wakefield
Stopped here for a night and wow, what a pleasant surprise! The food was way better than expected, especially the Yorkshire sausage with cider mash. My wife’s steak was top-notch too! Only wish the bar area had more seating. Totally worth the drive. Definitely a hidden gem!

Convenient spot but parking drama
The place was alright, comfy bed in our upgraded double room. We had brekkie there and it was decent. the parking situation was a bummer. Paid to park but got hit with a £100 fine later. Super frustrating! The staff seemed kinda unhelpful, which was a bummer too.
